Meet Our Coaching Team
Our experienced coaching staff—composed largely of current and former Dolphin swimmers—brings a deep passion and history to competitive swimming. We deliver structured, progressive training tailored to each athlete's age and skill level. Beyond the pool, we emphasize vital life skills like teamwork and personal excellence to help swimmers achieve their goals. Our boutique, family-oriented approach ensures valuable one-on-one attention for every athlete.

Judy Baker
Club Head Coach & Provincial/National Coach
Judy Baker has shaped competitive swimming since 1989. As an elite coach, she has earned Junior National Coach of the Year and Swim BC Female Coach of the Year honors, alongside the Coaching Excellence Award.
Her philosophy is simple: elite performance requires a foundation of strong training habits and master-level four-stroke technique. Beyond the stopwatch, she builds lasting relationships with families to foster a supportive team culture. By tailoring paths to individual goals, she helps every Winskill Dolphin athlete thrive and reach their potential.

Devon Dupuis
Assistant Coach & AGG, AGB and JDB Coach
Before coaching, Devon Dupuis swam competitively for Winskill Dolphins for 8 years before moving to Germany, where he continued to swim for another 3 years until graduation. Devon began coaching in 2022 with the Port Moody Aquarians, where he spent 1 summer assisting with the younger groups and 2 summers leading the senior group.
As a coach Devon emphasizes consistent technique, mental fortitude, and fostering enjoyment of the sport. He believes that developing strong fundamentals and confidence in training helps his athletes reach their full potential. The most rewarding part of coaching for Devon is watching athletes grow, achieve goals, and gain confidence in themselves through the support and guidance that he provides.

As a coach, Aiden wants every swimmer to feel excited to come to practice, proud of their improvement, and confident enough to push themselves toward their goals. Whether a swimmer is learning a new skill, achieving a personal best time, finishing a tough set, or simply having an awesome practice, he will be there to help and cheer them on. Most importantly, he wants the team to work hard, have fun, and create great memories together.

Zeina Khalifa
JDB Coach
Zeina is excited to coach Junior Dolphins Blue this year. Outside of the club, she is a first-year undergraduate student at UBC studying Pharmaceutical Science. This season marks her fifth year coaching for the Dolphins. She has been a member of the club for nine years, spending seven of those years as a competitive swimmer.
Coaching JDB, Zeina's main priority is ensuring her swimmers are excited to come to practice. She also aims to teach them to be patient and kind with themselves while mastering their technique. For Zeina, the most rewarding part of coaching young kids is watching their confidence grow each time they hit a new milestone in their technique and strokes.

Mini Dolphins Coaches
We are thrilled to welcome your young swimmers to the pool! Our Mini Dolphins program for children under 9 are led by a dedicated, familiar team of instructors who know exactly what it takes to build water confidence. Every single one of our instructors brings proven experience, patience, and a shared passion for youth development back to our decks.
Safety and foundational skill-building are our top priorities. All coaches have successfully earned their official Community Sport Coach Certification through Swimming Canada, ensuring they are fully trained in the best practices for early childhood aquatic development. Best of all, our coaches all grew up swimming for the club themselves! They understand the Winskill Dolphins culture from the inside out, making them the perfect mentors to help your child foster a lifelong love for the water in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.
